Sometimes the most important work begins within.
individual therapyMaybe your partner isn’t ready for therapy, or you’re wanting to better understand your own patterns before bringing someone else into the process.
In individual therapy, we can explore:
Attachment patterns and relationship history
Boundaries and your sense of self in relationships
Fear of closeness or of conflict
Navigating transitions including opening a relationship, ending one, or redefining what commitment means to you
Aspects of your identity that haven’t had the space to be seen or fully understood by you
Individual therapy can be a powerful place to strengthen your capacity for intimacy, clarity, and emotional regulation. We'll explore not just the relationships that exist outside the therapy room, but also the one that unfolds between us.
The therapeutic relationship we build together becomes its own dynamic material. How you show up with me — where you hold back, where you reach, what feels safe to say and what doesn't — often mirrors what happens in your closest relationships outside of therapy. Catching those patterns as they unfold, and trying something different right here in the room, is some of the most transformative relational work we can do.
Individual therapy is also a place to explore who you are, not just in relation to others, but on your own terms. That might mean examining your values, clarifying what you actually want in relationships, or integrating parts of your identity that haven't had space to be seen yet. This kind of clarity about who you are and what you need shapes every relationship you’re in, including the one you have with yourself.
